How To Properly Clean Your Ears From Heavy Wax Build Up
Hey you guys, I like to share my little technique on how to properly clean your ears using Q-tips.
It is natural for the ear to produce ear wax but sometimes especially when getting older you can suffer from ear wax build up. This can lead to loss of hearing until you go to the doctor to get the ear wax removed that has covered your ear drum. Most people like myself that don't have medical insurance and can't afford huge doctor bills so this is my home method of taking care of this on my own. If you go to the hospital the doctor will remove it for you but I was told that this could be vary painful. The doctor could also tell you to go to the drug store and get some ear drops or use a lite oil like warm olive oil but if your like me, I don't like the feeling of going def no longer than I already have to deal with so here is what you do.
Follow these simple steps if you have sudden hearing loss due to heavy ear wax. You may experience a ringing sensation in your ear with the problem that's due to ear wax build up.
Do this before you go to bed.
1) Get Some Hydrogen Peroxide.
2) Lean head to the side and pour a cap full in the ear with the heavy earwax build up and let it set for about 3-5 min. while slowly massaging your jaw in a round motion.
(Note: If you have heavy ear wax build up in both ears do one ear per night.)
(note: You will feel the peroxide slowly bubble and work it's way to your ear drum.)
3) Drain the peroxide from your ear by tilting your head to the side and let gravity drain your ear in a towel or tissue. It will take about 30 min for the rest of the peroxide to evaporate from your ear. After your ear starts to dry you may now go to sleep and let the peroxide loosen your ear wax overnight.
4) When you get up the next morning get out the Q-tips you might go through about 7 or 8 of them. Take the Q tip and place it about 45 degree angle downwards in your ear and slowly press in twisting the Q tip about 2 or 3 times then slowly pull the Q tip out. Repeat this until you remove all the excessive ear wax but remember it's there for a purpose so don't get to carried away or press the Q-tip to hard in your ear.
Now you should be able to hear better out that ear than the one that was working fine.
This should work fine for anyone but if you are still suffering from hearing loss after you have tried this then I do recommended that you go see your doctor.
I hope this works for you because it works for me and it's better than seeing the doctor and paying to get your ears cleaned when you can do it yourself.
EAR CANDLING IS FAKE!! Do not ever go out and pay to get ripped off buy people who use this alternative method for cleaning ear wax. You can puncher your ear drum or even burn your ear drum so don't let them fool you like it's your earwax that is in the burnt bees waxed funnel, it's the burnt bees wax. I wish someone told me this a long time ago.

i have used it....but doctor told not to use it..
Of course because they want you to pay them to do it. Peroxide won't hurt anything. You can even put a little in your plants to help prevent root rot. So I guess it boils down to if you have any insurance or not..lol.

Alright, I have heard enough. It is never safe for ANYONE to clean out their ears with earwax. Yeah you might get some earwax on the q-tip and think hey it worked, but you are really just compacting the ear wax you can't reach further down into the ear cannal. Using q-tips can cause infection, hearing loss (especially over time if you are a regular q-tiper), and can puncture the ear drum. I'm not an expert on ear candles, but definately safer than puting small pointy sticks covered in cotton in your ears. Hydrogen peroxide can also be very drying and ittitaing to the ear canal and yes can make things worse. I am a nurse and I understand the insurance concerns. But doing something that is going to make the problem worse is not in anyone's best interest. If you must put things in your ears at least keep q-tips out of your baby and kids ears please!:)
Using q-tips in your ears is dangerous...if you are an idiot! If you are a somewhat intelligent adult you can tell whether you are compacting or getting stuff out. There is a reason millions of people clean their ears with them...they work. Of course if you are a complete moron or have no nerve endings in your ear, that is different. Follow the professionals who know more about your own body than you do.
Q-tips work great as long as your not stupid. Yes, stupid people should go to the doctor because doctors never make mistakes and they really like stupid people and their money. Besides, they will be sure and medicate you for being stupid, and if you have insurance they may even operate on you for something. That is after a battery of very expensive tests of course.
As for me, I'm responsible for me, I'm responsible for my own health, and I trust me more than anyone else. I also don't charge myself much for good work. so, I have always used Q-tips and as I clean my ears regularly there is no wax to ever impact, and I have excellent hearing.
I also agree that ear candles are a bunch of bull. If you don't think so? run one in your ear and one in a cup and then cut them open and compare the crud in each. They are exactly the same. Or better yet get an otoscope for looking in ears, find a dirty one and then candle it. It will be just as dirty when you are done. Do the same thing with a Q-tip and you will find everything clean and shiny when you are done.
Back to the stupid part. Be careful when cleaning your ears, they are delicate and require care. Clean very slowly, make sure no one will open a door or run into you while the Q-tip is in your ear. Never let go of the q-tip while it is in your ear as you may jam it in too deep by accident when you try to get hold of it again. Spin the Q-tip so that it scrapes up the wax as it rotates. Check the tip often, when it is full of wax it will not pick up more so change to a fresh one.
If you can't wipe your butt you shouldn't clean your ears. However, if you can, your good to go.
